Shared Everest Helicopter Tour: Join a Flight

Travelling alone or as a couple? Rather than book the whole helicopter, take a seat on a shared Everest flight. It's the same route, the same Kala Patthar landing and the same breakfast at Hotel Everest View, paid per person.

Shared Everest Helicopter Tour: Join a Flight

A private Everest charter makes good sense for four or five people. For one or two, a seat on a shared flight costs a fraction of the price. We fill each helicopter with up to five passengers who all want to fly on the same morning.

The route is exactly the same as our private tour: Kathmandu to Lukla, up the Khumbu valley past Namche and Tengboche, over Everest Base Camp, a short landing on Kala Patthar, and then breakfast at Hotel Everest View before the flight home.

Book your date and we'll confirm as soon as the flight has enough passengers, which is usually well before the day. If a date doesn't fill, we'll offer you the nearest date that does, or a full refund. Window seats are shared fairly, too: everyone gets a window for one leg of the flight.

Good to know

Pickup
At your hotel in Kathmandu.
Before you fly
  • In the Himalaya, helicopters fly on weight rather than seats. Please tell us everyone's weight when you book, and bring just one small bag each.
  • Flights leave early, while the mountain air is at its clearest. Safety is the pilot's call: if conditions aren't right, you'll fly on the next clear morning instead, or have your money back in full.
  • Do keep a spare day or two in Kathmandu after your flight date, in case the weather moves it.
Weather and cancellation
If the weather grounds your flight, you can pick another day or take a full refund. Should you cancel with more than 10 days still to go, you'll get 50% back. Within 10 days of the flight, or once the trip has started, there's no refund. Booking terms
