Where do your flights start?
Most tours start from Kathmandu's domestic terminal, and we pick you up from your hotel. The Annapurna Base Camp tour starts in Pokhara, and charters can start anywhere a helicopter can land.
How many people fit in a helicopter?
Up to five passengers. Up at the highest landings, Kala Patthar for one, the thin air means a helicopter can't lift as many, so a full group may be landed in two short lifts.
Is there an age limit?
No. Children and older travellers fly with us often. If you have a heart or lung condition, or you're travelling with a baby, choose a route with a lower landing and let us know when you book.
What if the weather is bad?
The pilot decides whether it's safe to fly. If we can't fly, you choose another date or a full refund. That's why we suggest keeping at least one spare day after your flight.
Why do you ask for our weights?
Helicopters in the mountains are loaded by weight, not by seats, and the higher you land, the lower the limit. Rest assured, we only use your weights to plan the load safely.
How much luggage can I bring?
One small bag each on scenic tours, ideally under 5 kg. On heli treks, your trekking bag comes back with you on the helicopter.
Are park fees included?
It depends on the route, and each tour page lists them. For Everest flights, the Sagarmatha National Park and local area fees are paid on top, in Nepali rupees, and we arrange them for you.
Can I join a group if I'm travelling alone?
Of course. Just book a seat on our shared Everest flight and pay per seat. For other routes, ask us and we'll do our best to match you with other travellers.
How do I pay?
By card online when you book. Private charters and treks can also be secured with a 25% deposit by bank transfer, and the rest is paid before the trip.
Do you arrange rescue flights?
Yes. If someone needs to be flown out of the mountains, contact us with their location, their condition and their insurance details. The helicopter rescue page explains how it works.
