The personal details we need to book your flight, who receives them, and how you can have them removed.

Booking a helicopter flight in Nepal takes more personal information than most travel bookings. Operators file a passenger list for every flight, and some areas need government permits. This page explains what we ask for and what happens to it.

Details we ask for

  • **Contact details:** your name, email and phone or WhatsApp number, so we can reach you before the flight.
  • **Passenger details:** each passenger's full name as written in their passport, nationality, passport number and approximate body weight. Operators need these for the flight manifest and load plan, and permit offices need them for restricted areas such as Upper Mustang.
  • **Health notes** that you choose to share, such as a heart condition or a child's age, so we can suggest a suitable route.
  • **Payment records.** Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never reaches our systems.

Who receives them

Only the people who make your trip happen: the helicopter operator flying you; the trekking guide, hotel or lodge on a heli trek; the national park or permit office where a permit is required; and, in an evacuation, your insurance company. Nobody receives your details for marketing, and we never sell them.

How long we hold them

We keep passenger and payment records in our accounts for as long as Nepali tax rules require. If you enquire but don't book, your message is erased within 24 months.

Removing or correcting your details

Write to [email protected] and we'll send you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it or erase it, unless the law requires us to keep a booking record.
